Summary

Problem-based learning is often presented as a learning method that fits developing psychologically literate citizens. At Maastricht University, PBL has been used as principal teaching method in psychological bachelor and master nprogrammes since 1995. The paper will analyze to what extent PBL in Maastricht has supported the development of psychological literacy in a very diverse international classroom, and presents initiatives that should help realize intended learning outcomes targeting global citizenship in our psychology programmes.
