Giving back agency to the individual, and providing the individual with the tools, methods, and a growth-mindset that makes a difference for the future, already beginning in the now, is the objective of this presented idea. The realization of an identity that is continuously striving for an ideal self, within the hero’s journey, overcoming obstacles and limitations, and thriving in complex and uncertain conditions, enables the manifestation of new values and ethics according to the demands, necessities and urgencies of our century. We can hypothetically reach a higher level of diversity and heterarchy, beyond and above the current status quo, through the development of individual signature strengths that could align in distributed networks as a form of collective and synergetic intelligence, capable of tackling wicked problems. A futures-oriented and futures-inspired experiential world-building that utilizes design elements from Futures Studies, Gamification, and Fiction writing, provides personal well-being and manifests shared prosperity, thus, better futures. This approach should unleash the true potential of the super-organism called humanity as well as unlock the digital infrastructure that underlies our civilizations’ progress.
