Introductie

We propose the clinical experience and psychotherapeutic practice based on Massimo Fagioli’s Human Birth Theory, first published in the early ‘70s.

Materiaal en methodes

The original insight of this author, grounded on his clinical observations within the psychiatric institutions, lead to the identification of the pulsion that makes mentally “disappear” other human beings, without physically destroying them. This is a non conscious dynamic which is aimed towards other human beings and causes an absence of thought and an anaffectivity that makes others ill. Based on this discovery, using a deductive method, Fagioli researched the origins and the development of human thought, starting from birth, which is the reaction of the retina to light that activates the brain.

Resultaten

This discovery has been elaborated in 41 years of therapeutic activity and research within the so called Collective Analysis that involved thousands of people, including several psychotherapists that achieved there their personal training.

Conclusie

The opportunity to define a physiology of mind, and therefore its pathology, has lead to new perspectives in the treatment of mental illness aimed at its cure and not at its rehabilitation. This is financially sustainable as it is applicable to both the primary prevention and the promotion of an original mental health.
