Introductie

Existential Analysis is a psychotherapeutic approach connecting ideas of existential philosopy, logotherapeutic approach in counseling, and phenomenology as a methodological approach. The goal of existential-analytical therapy is to bring the client to life with inner consent. This implies activating the authentic personal will (freedom) and responsibility. The approach has two main focuses: content-wise, the four fundamental motivation that move a person in his life, and form-wise, the quality of exchange with oneself and the world, which leads to a better perception of the motivations, inwardly and outwardly. Building a constructive dialogue (which can be applied equally to inner and outer world) is the main determining factor of existential-analytical therapy. In practical application, the quality of dialogue is increased through the application of Personal Existential Analysis, the central method of the approach.
