The Great Psychotherapy Debate

Working mechanisms in psychotherapy that account for therapeutic change are much discussed but poorly researched. In this Debate, prominent scholars and clinicians will discuss recent insights from research and clinical practice in an attempt to further the field. Instead of focusing on the binary distinction between common and specific factors as often has been done, the Debate will concentrate on the way forward. What do we know about working mechanisms and active ingredients of therapy nowadays, and what can we do to advance this knowledge in the future?
