Summary

Migration musical talent is not a new process. Both in times of Mozart, Menuhin and today, musically gifted sought their masters and followed them. A relatively new phenomenon is the migration of outstanding musicians - professors. They follow them musically capable - but also their families. This raises specific problems both in the cultural, economic but also in the area of psychological problems.

The importance of the family environment for musical development was emphasized by many psychologists. Nowadays:  M. Manturzewska, L. Sosniak, H. Gardner , J.W. Davidson, J. Sloboda et al.  In my research I am trying to define, which dimensions of the family environment are particularly essential in the educational process of those who are musically gifted. I conducted large-scale research into the effect of the family environment on the quality and continuity of professional music education.

Poster presented a case study talented girl - violinist from Singapore. It shows what places and schools were on her journey of discovery master. What caused that changed school, continents and cities? How it raises problems in the family? Which meant that the family had taken the trouble financial and logistics to facilitate the child's education?
