Summary

Background:

Cognitive skill development program using game-based puzzles, is found to be very effective in developing higher order thinking skills (Analysis, Evaluation and Synthesis) among students.

Skills covered in workshop: Five cognitive skills namely memory, visual processing, focus & attention, problem solving and linguistics.

Method:  The workshop will offer a compact cognitive development program consisting of online game-based puzzles. The participants will have hands-on experience of the program, assess their own cognitive skill level and will learn how to use the program for improving higher order thinking skills of students. This will be an assessment as well as training program. Demonstration of personalized training, individual performance tracking & Brain Skill Power Index (BSPI) and analytics that can give meaningful information to schools about the performance and improvement track of the children, will be demonstrated.

Knowledge and Outcome: The participants will understand the power of technology in improving cognitive skills of students and will be able to find applications for such techniques in their field of work.
