Summary

The aim of the paper is to present the importance of the preschool age for further human development and progress, and to stress the importance of systematic preschool education for children, in particular for children from poorly stimulating or otherwise disadvantaged environment.

A training of a child immature for school, especially due to stimulus deprivation, language barrier or immaturity in partial areas, can cause the child great adaptation difficulties and is exposed to a long-term stressful situation, cannot develop the intellectual capacity, exploit it for poor ability to concentrate. The presented research was focused on identification of the barriers perceived by parents from environment at risk of social exclusion (105 informants). A positive result emerging from this sub-part of the research was the fact that the majority of parents of children from environment at risk of social exclusion are aware of the importance of the preschool education and are interested in integration of a child into educational process.

What is important, is the cooperation of school, family, non-profit organizations, social workers, consultancy institutions, municipalities with the aim to support the families from the environment at risk of social exclusion in integration into systematic preschool education.
