This contribution offers an overview of current conditions of work of school psychologists in Slovakia. We used an online pilot questionnaire for school psychologists to collect information as demographic data of respondents, conditions for their work, and their positions in schools. We focused on the most frequent activities, which we can group into 5 groups of activities – individual work with a child, work with a child with special needs, group activities, work with teachers, work with parents. The major findings are presented together with the most frequent issues they solve. One part of our questionnaire was oriented also on their needs, what could help them to make their work more effective.
